A belated explanation of my dark place

 Well, now that I've got the Miami rant off my chest, I'm back to having not much of anything to talk about, except something I don't want to talk about, but I'm in a situation where I'm going to have to talk about it because I'm not going to be able to avoid it since it's a health problem.

Now some of you may have been wondering about my blog post titled ''A dark place'' about 10 days ago and hopefully my  next few blog posts will explain it. But don't worry I'm OK, and I should continue to be OK, but about ten days ago, I ended up in the hospital with a blood clot in my lung.

I've always been a fairly healthy person; in fact, the only time I've ever been in a hospital was when I was five years old and had my tonsils out. I take care of myself, I eat reasonably, and for my height, my weight is where it should be. I didn't smoke for long, having started when I was in the Air Force and quit in my early 20s. I seldom drink alcohol, and I don't think I've even had a beer for several months.

As I've mentioned before in my blog, at 77 years old, I don't take any prescription drugs and seldom take over-the-counter medicine like Tylenol. The only pill I take every day is a vitamin "D" pill. So, needless to say, I'm not used to being sick, making adapting to being sick all the more difficult.

The second worst thing for me being sick is me writing about being sick, which reminds me that I'm sick. I certainly don't like thinking about being sick, so I had to think long and hard about talking about being sick in my blog, hoping there was a way I could be ill but sound normal. But sharing my life every day in a blog was making it too difficult for me to keep a secret like that

This is getting a bit long, so I will continue my story and write more about what happened in tomorrows blog post. And I will continue writing about it until everything has been explained. Like I've said, don't worry. I'm OK now, and I'm going to be OK in the future.
