It went from 100° in Denver yesterday to high 70s today; I was actually wearing a long-sleeved shirt up until lunchtime. Unfortunately, this is just for one day, tomorrow will be back in the 90s.
But the cool weather gave me a break from the heat and a desire to get a few things done... Not much, but a few things. I took some pictures of the bronco and posted them on Craig's list to see if I could get the little bronco sold. I will have to carry my phone around all the time now, which normally I wouldn't say I like to do. But at least it's not like selling something in the old days when I would have to put it in the classified section of the newspaper and then sit next to the phone in the living room, unable to go anywhere, even outside, while waiting for that phone to ring.
I also took my truck down to the diesel emissions inspection place and got it inspected so I could get a new tag. Unfortunately It failed which is going end up costing me several hundred bucks to fix it, and what really bothers me is this is supposed to be a test for emissions, in other words what comes out of the exhaust pipe. And the test they gave it showed it passed the emissions requirements with flying colors, but they failed it because one of its eight glow plugs in the engine wasn't working. The diesel starts instantly, runs great, and gets excellent fuel mileage and just past a very stringent Denver emissions test, that they administered, and yet it failed because of one glow plug which has absolutely nothing to do with how the truck runs, or whether it pollutes or not. Needless to say this has not endeared me to the government and their endless quest to control as much of your life as possible.
