Another day of feeling better; I still have a cough, but it's better than before, and I'm feeling pretty normal now, waiting only for a negative Covid test to get out and actually be normal once again.

No more 90s in my ten-day weather forecast anymore; it's mostly mid-70s now with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. And those lows are enough for me to get out a blanket and get ready for some cool weather. And since I've been using 5-gallon propane tanks that fit in the Lance instead of my standard 10-gallon tanks that fit in the Arctic Fox, it looks like I'll be running to the hardware store for propane more often now that the weather is cooling off.

I liked having the 10-gallon tanks in the Arctic Fox because the two of them would last a month, so I wasn't always looking for a propane store. On the other hand, the 5-gallon tanks are much easier to handle, and there's no way I could lift a 10-gallon tank five feet off the ground to get it into the Lance's propane tank storage compartment.

I'm really looking forward to traveling in the Lance this winter. I enjoyed traveling in the Bronco last winter except for a few problems, such as putting the top up and down whenever I went to the store and the difficulty of keeping it warm inside because it was half tent. But this winter, the Lance has solved those problems while maintaining most of the mobility that the Bronco gave me, so I think this should be my freest, most comfortable, best winter ever.... And as long as I maintain that attitude, no matter what happens, it will be my best winter ever.

The family dog. This is the one other family member that hasn't caught the bat flu.

You know if you take a magnifying glass to any critter living in the yard and look at them closely enough, they look just as weird as any space alien Hollywood ever came up with.

A couple of small milestones but milestones nonetheless, last night was the first night since I got the bat flu that I was able to sleep through the whole night without waking up coughing. It's also the first morning I woke up hungry enough to eat some breakfast and I guess that's also a good sign, you know the old saying, "feed a bat, starve a fever."

 Another milestone this morning, I got dressed and walked around outside for a little bit, but not much. In fact all I did was walk the 50 feet to the trash-can and back just to get rid of my trash. My family Doctor of over 30 years, always emphasized to me that your body can heal faster while you're resting, which by the way, is why your doctor always tells you to get plenty of rest when you're healing, because getting out and doing stuff just prolongs the whole healing process, so just because you feel like you can, doesn't mean you should.

That was the "good news" part of the blog, now for the "bad news." My daughter tested positive for the Covid this morning. This has been expected since she's been taking care of all of us sick family members since day one. The good news is, she still feels good and only has a bit of a cough, and the cough is the reason she took the test. So since her husband is a lot better now, and I'm a lot better now, and my granddaughters testing negative, my daughter should be able to rest up through it all
and shake it off fairly quickly. This of course still leaves my grandson unscathed by all the drama going on around him since he's still testing negative.

Barney the Old Fat Man requested some inside pictures of my Lance truck camper so these are top-secret pictures for his old, beat up, barely working, eyes only, and are far too boring for anyone that can actually see.

This is the best kind of picture to see the layout of my Lance camper, but I wasn't able to take this picture so I got it off the Internet from the Lance website. This is my model so it looks just like this.

The changes I have made already are.... I don't hang clothes so I put shelves in the clothes closet next to the door.  I ripped the bedroom TV and its mount off-the-wall and threw the whole mess in the trash.  The rectangular table has been replaced by a round one that's more adjustable and a lot smaller.... I can only afford to feed one person, and that happens to be me.  I threw away the factory mattress, and replaced it with a mattress for one person, and turned my new mattress to the East-West position, the factory one is  North-South..... That's all I've done so far, but I'm still waiting for Amazon to deliver my chainsaw so I can make more meaningful changes.

But here's a couple of pictures that I was able to take. I'm working in here so the place is a mess, fact is I'm always working in here, so it's always a mess. The wide-angle lens has distorted everything but if I level everything up so it looks normal, the software cuts away part of the picture. The bathroom is on the right, and refrigerators on the left

Facing the opposite direction, I took this picture while sitting on the bed. The refrigerator is that big black thing on the right, and the bathroom is left of the entrance door.

Looking at the factory specs on this model 850 I find out it's overall outside length is a smidge less than 17 feet long. I guess that would mean if I were of the trailer persuasion I could live in a 17 foot trailer.

Looking at my blog I started noticing that without pictures it was just all black and gray, and that's not the way I wanted my blog to look. So in an effort to get some color back into it I dug down deep in my shoe-box of rejected pictures and pulled these out just to add some color to my poor colorless, depressing blog, that's becoming rife with sickness and despair.

Coughing has still been a problem for me and wakes me up a couple of times during the night, but overall I still feel like I'm getting better. I mostly sit around all day relaxing and trying to regain my strength. Some of my appetite has returned, but I'm only eating what I would consider one meal a day, but that seems plenty for me at the moment.

I got the good news that my granddaughter tested negative on her home test, so she managed to sail through this whole thing with nothing but a cough, and I'm thankful for that. And so far, my daughter and grandson have been spared from any of these symptoms, even though they've lived right in the middle of this whole episode.

Not many flowers are left in the yard, and I think I've taken pictures of all of them before. Unfortunately, I don't want to be around the grandkids until I'm better, so there's not much for me to take a picture of around here in less I go walking around the block or something like that, and it still might be a few days before I feel like doing that, so coming up with some new pictures is going to be difficult.... I sure need a mini-vacation.
