The English village at one end of the bridge, and a bunch of rental houseboats...waiting for spring break in early March.

Another great day today, mid-70s, 50s at night, a great day to be alive. And since today looked like a good day for traveling, I moseyed on to Wickenburg, plopped myself down on some school trust land, and called it home until I feel like heading for Ben Avery's gun range.

I had done everything I needed to do in Quartzsite. I refilled a propane tank, got a few gallons of water, and topped up my fuel tank; even though diesel fuel is easy to find I've noticed the prices are starting to rise... Again. That meant I had no real reason to hang around Quartzsite any longer and needed a new view.

I stopped at Safeway when I got to Wickenburg, and I'm always shocked when I first look at their prices after buying groceries at Walmart for a while. They put items on sale sometimes that will rival Walmart's normal price, but I don't buy things just because there on sale; I buy things that I need, and the prices are outrageous.

Usually, when I'm in Wickenburg, I like to drive to Congress, Arizona, and spend a few nights there. But due to some bad planning or lack of ANY planning, I find myself going places that I should've gone to later, but since I went to them before, I don't want to go back to them because I've been there already.

On Saturday, I'll drive down the road to the Vulture Mine and spend the afternoon taking a few pictures of the goings on there. The guy that owns the place, whose name I can't remember, is always making new, fanciful, weird things to display around the Vulture Mine, which makes it a great place to take pictures.

Holy cow!!! This old geezer has a total of 900 hp on the back of this pontoon boat.... And those two Mercury 450 horse motors cost about $60,000 each... EACH !

Apparently there's a lot of money In Lake Havasu...unfortunately none of it belongs to me.

There's a lot of flowers blooming at Lake Havasu, it neither looks, nor feels like winter. Which of course is why there's so many people here.

More rental pontoon boats for the spring breakers.

If you like the Safeway prices, just keep voting for Democrats. They will make sure they keep going up.

About that 900hp pontoon boat - on the right I see a pontoon to hold it up, on the left (mostly hidden by the dock) is another pontoon to hold it up, and in the middle, below the steps, is what looks like a giant fuel tank!

How would you like to fill that sucker up?

Ken, I don't know much about pontoon boats, having never had one, since most of my boating was done in the ocean, and pontoon boats have no place in the ocean.

But I have fed a fairly substantial outboard motor before so I know that 900 hp worth of outboard motors is going to burn a lot of fuel, probably pretty close to 75 gallons per hour depending on how fast they drive, and boaters with big motors tend to drive pretty fast.

And also big motors pushing around a none to streamlined pontoon boat are going to be working extra hard, so I'm thinking one hundred gallons per hour would not be too far off base, so yes a fuel tank that may be the size of one of his pontoons is a distinct possibility.

For the supposed party of the working man the Democrats usually make it pretty tough on the folks that work for a living. All my life Democrats have been known as the tax-and-spend party, with their ever-increasing income taxes, and never ending federal debt. So I expect there will always be more of the same.
