It was a beautiful warm day to take a road trip, so I did, click the pics, and see what I saw.

So the traveling old people are keeping the sedentary old people semi-occupied. That's good I guess. There are about a gazillion places that look like your last two photos. And some around here, a couple of which I remember as thriving in the early 50's.

I'm glad my VPN explanation was useful for you. When it comes to technical stuff like that I think a lot of folks like to use technical terms to explain what's going on because it makes them sound intelligent.

As a teenager our church youth group had what was called Slave Days where we rented ourselves out to adult chuch members to do chores. I remember painting one of those old gas stations on one of those days. A Deep Rock station when they were just gas stations before they became service stations that would also repair your car. Boy, am I old!

Yeah it's usually not a great idea to look back too far into your past, especially for Baby Boomers because everything in our lives have changed so drastically it doesn't even seem like were in the same world.
