Went to Walmart this morning and bought a few groceries, I also exchanged my empty 5 gallon propane tank from the little Bronco camper for a full one, and when I got home I took one of my 10 gallon propane tanks out of the Arctic Fox and hooked up the 5 gallon tank from the little Bronco. I want to see how long 5 gallons will last in the Arctic Fox.
And speaking of the next few days the cold front is coming through tonight and its supposed to get down to the mid-20s, so it looks like I'll have to run my furnace tonight so my pipes and tanks don't freeze. The highs for tomorrow are supposed to be in the low 30s with about 2 inches of snow, and high teens for tomorrow night. It looks like I'll be burning a lot of propane to keep warm for the next few days so it will be a good test for the 5 gallon tank.
The sun is getting lower and lower on the horizon so my solar panels are getting less and less sunshine, and my batteries are taking longer and longer to charge up. And to make it worse there's a couple of large trees blocking the sunshine when it's low on the horizon so its now taking until early afternoon to charge up my batteries.
All of that, and the call of the open road, are tugging at me to head South. And If everything goes right that should happen seven days from now. I know it's a cliché to say the summer as flown by, but nonetheless... The summer has flown by.
