The Arctic Fox yesterday evening, packed up, hitched up, and ready to Pull out in the morning.

I made a command decision to go to the Escapees RV Park outside of Wickenburg Arizona called North Ranch and arrived here about 11 o'clock this morning. I paid for three nights of boondocking, which they call drycamping, at eight dollars a night which is the member price for boondocking overnight.

If I need to stay at an RV Park I always prefer the Escapees parks. They appear to me to be more reasonably priced and the folks there always seem very friendly.

I decided to stay here at the Escapees Park so I could get the Arctic Fox weighed and scout out the area in my truck looking for the least crowded BLM boondocking spots. There's a lot of BLM boondocking in the area but some of them are best checked out without a 30 foot trailer behind you.

My new digs at escapees North Ranch RV Park outside Wickenburg Arizona. Most of the Park is retired permanent residence that have come off the road and settled here for the duration. That's Some of the Homes and storage buildings that you see beside me.

Is North Ranch the one where they ring the big bell and people come out to greet whoever arrived? I didn't know about that in advance so I stayed in the rig when Dave went in to register. Suddenly there were people looking at me through the windshield.

Good Lord I hope not!! I'm a very shy person and the less attention I draw the better. If I saw all those people heading for me I'd turn around and leave.

Now that sounds like something Escapees would do because they promote their friendliness. I remember when they used to run around hugging each other, I stop taking showers just so they would leave me alone. It worked so well they stopped hugging everybody.

Needless to say they didn't ring no bell or I wouldn't be writing from here right now. And I didn't notice a bell outside the office but I'll look more careful tomorrow. I would like to know where that is so I could avoid it. And if there's anyone that knows about a bell I'll bet it would be Barney The Old Fat Man.

Now I'm going to have nightmares about 25 old geezer's surrounding my truck clawing and scratching at my Windows moaning hug me, hug me.

I bet the diesel was still not warmed up when that tow was over! It will be interesting to hear what the individual wheel loads on the Fox are.

Yeah it was only about 50 miles or 1 cup of coffee depending on how you look at it.

Well I'll find out on Monday morning, I have an appointment at 9 o'clock to getter done. It worked out perfect, it'll take about half hour to do the weighing and the paperwork then I'll just head on out the gate to my next boondocking spot.

The bell was at the Lakewood NM Escapees park I think.

I had a feeling you would know something like that, when I can't remember where I was yesterday. I've never been to that one and if that's the one with the bell never will.

I don't think we've ever been to Lakewood, NM. But, my memory is full of holes so that could have been the place even though I don't think we ever went there.

Well Barney did qualify his answer with...." I think". Barney kind of keeps up with that stuff, and takes notes. The more places I visit the more it all runs together in my head and I can't tell one place from another. I also take notes, I just can't remember where I put em.

I walked up to the office checked around and didn't see a bell hanging anywhere, if I did I would've removed the clapper just in case everybody wanted to say goodbye Monday morning.

According to the Escapees site on the internet, it is named The Ranch, Lakewood NM.

Good grief I've stayed there. But they didn't ring a bell when I showed up or I sure would've remembered it. Maybe I wasn't all that welcome, or maybe the denizens of the The Ranch saw me coming and hid under their beds.

But whatever the case, you da Man Barney.

The Original Ranch in Lakewood NM is an Escapees Co-Op park, very nice very friendly but I am told it was not the original or first Co- Op that Casa Grande Rovers Roost is!!!

I stayed at the Casa Grande Escapees, and no one rang a bell, thank goodness. I would've run and hid.

I wrote a blog about our travels but I didn't label things in a way that makes them easy to retrieve. So the bell is probably in there somewhere but...

I'm as unorganized as they come, not that I don't like organization I'm just too lazy to do it.

Is your blog still published somewhere, I would love to read it, it sounds like we've been to a lot of the same places and I could probably learn a lot.
