Glad to see a wee bit of snow left on that little lake. Hope there is more this time next year. I myself miss living in the country....even where I'm from. It was a good experience for a long time. Had some negatives of course.....but I still miss it a bit.

Fortunately I've never lived in a city, and very seldom even visit one. I've lived in the suburbs before, especially in Miami Florida when I lived in a typical South Florida tract house with jalousie windows and terrazzo floors.

I also like autumn. But, not the crowds of leaf peepers we get on the weekends. Retirement means driving around midweek is possible.

It's exactly the same way here Linda. Usually around the weekends during the middle of September, early October, the leaf peepers will come out in Colorado with a vengeance and there's no safe places to drive in the mountains. And yes retirement means looking at the leaves on the weekdays and the only people you will have to deal with are other retirees.
