It sprinkled off and on for some of the day today, and when I come to think of it, it was sprinkling when I went to bed last night. The lawn is as green as green can be, even though the sprinkler system is still winterized and hasn't been turned on yet. And the high country is still getting snow.



I have nothing interesting to write about today, so having nothing of interest to discuss I will talk about some inside information about how I write my blog. Like most things in my life, I keep my blog as simple as possible and make up no rules for blog creation that I force myself to follow. If you recall how lazy I am, how bereft of motivation and ambition I am, and how procrastination rules my life, you might think that I couldn't get a blog post out once a month, much less every day... And how I manage to do that surprises even me.


Not having any rules I have to follow makes producing my blog much easier. I have no artificial deadlines for when my blog has to be done for the day; it's done when it's done. I have no set length of how long my blog needs to be. I write till I can't think of anything else to say, and then I close it or extend it till the next day.  99% of the time, I have no idea what I'm going to write about until I sit down at the computer and start writing something, which is why I usually start with the weather because once I get something written down, that usually opens up an idea for what to write about, but if I don't write something I could stare at a blank page for an hour without a single idea coming to mind.


This blog post is a good example. 10 minutes ago, I had no idea what I would write about, but as soon as I wrote about the weather, I realized I had nothing interesting to say, so I decided to write about what I'm doing right now, which is trying to write my blog.


I don't like to write for too long because it gets boring for me and everybody else so I might finish my thoughts tomorrow. But if I'm lucky, I may figure out how to stretch this subject for even longer than that!
