I spent some time today packing up and getting ready to leave tomorrow. Since I'm going to be driving south on interstate 17 and interstate 10 which goes right through Phoenix, I've decided I'll leave early in the morning. I'm hoping being a Sunday morning and leaving early there won't be much traffic. Pulling a trailer through Phoenix traffic is never fun and often dangerous because NOBODY wants to be behind a trailer.
I don't know if I will go all the way to the tombstone area tomorrow, it's only about 180 miles away and I have to go right through Tucson and Tucson's got some neat places to see so I might stop there. I've also got to go through Benson which has an escapees RV Park which happens to have a special deal for people that have never stayed there before.
The deal is a full hookup site for $50 for one week, but electricity is extra and I don't know what that will cost. But either way the weather is supposed to be comfortable so I don't have to have electricity anyway.
So I might take advantage of that deal and spend a week in Benson. Tombstones only 20 something miles away so I could run down there and scout out some Boondocking sites. RV Sue and her canine crew told me about a possible Boondocking site so now I've got two places I can look at.
I've been here at Ben Avery's for over a month now and I'm ready to move on. It's a great place to be, there's things to do, and the people here are my kind of folks, but I need a different view out my window and I can hear the road calling.
