I took this sunset picture of the Boondocking RV Park last night. I climbed up a little hill to take this shot, the pictures a little dark, I guess I waited too long to  take the picture, but I don't walk up hills as fast as I used to. but it's pretty obvious I'm not going to be able take a decent sunset picture down where the Lance is. The Lance is just about in the middle of the picture.

tit got up to almost 70° today. That sure felt good compared to the chilly 50s and 60s weather I've been dealing with, but it looks like more chilly weather will be on the way in a couple of days. If the weather guessers are correct, this El Niño weather situation will bring more chilly, wet weather to Arizona all winter.

I walked around town this morning and took a few pictures, but only a few. I think this weekend will be a good picture-taking time with some Christmas events scheduled for downtown.

My favorite thing to take pictures of downtown is the locals. Most of them dress in costume to one degree or another. Dressing like a cowboy takes very little effort; wearing jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat will usually do it. And that used to be how I dressed all the time, but the only thing I have left now is jeans, which have been my choice of pants for my whole life.

When I became a full-timer, I got rid of all my nice button-up shirts; I wear T-shirts now. I gave away my cowboy hats and sold all my cowboy boots on eBay except one pair of ostrich skin boots that I figured I would wear if I ever had to dress up for anything.

 But I can't see myself having to dress up for any occasion in the future, so my ostrich skin boots lay dusty and forlorn under my bed in the Arctic Fox, not knowing what to do with them since they're not nice enough to sell, and yet remind me of too many memories to just throw them away.

But I've dealt with this before, as has everyone who's moved from a normal home into an RV of any kind and transitioned into a full-timer. Letting go of memories is always difficult at best and never gets any easier, even when it's a shabby pair of cowboy boots that reminds me of many miles, smiles, troubles and tribulations that have punctuated my life.

Some boondocking neighbors. these tiny teardrop campers are very popular because you can pull them with just about anything. But the concept of having to go outside to cook your meals would always be a deal-breaker for me.

The very first cowboy known to have enough guts to walk down the streets of Tombstone unarmed while wearing shorts....nobody does this, I wonder if he lost a bet and had to walk down the street wearing shorts, or a ballerinas tutu?....if so he chose wisely.
