my accomplishments are Few, and my efforts are minimal

Since the weather was nice I decided I would walk up a hill and see what I could see. I started out following this path.

I did some work on my rearview cameras today, yes I'm still working on my rearview cameras. I may hold the world record for how long I've managed to stretch a one-day project, it just goes to show how little you can accomplish if you set your mind to it.

I've had it hooked up and it actually works which is more than I can say for the wireless system I had. So now the wiring in the Arctic Fox is finished and I've just got to hide some wires in the truck, permanently mount the monitor and I'll be all set.

One of my delays has been figuring out a better way to run the quick disconnect cord from the Arctic Fox to the truck. The quick disconnect cord looks like a 3 foot long slinky, stretches as the trailer turns and yet is easy to hook and unhook when you connect and disconnect from the trailer.

When I put in the original wired system I ran the quick disconnect cord from the front bottom of the Arctic Fox over the tailgate of the truck and put a plug in the left rear side wall of the truck bed. This was rather annoying because it made it difficult to walk between the trailer and the truck when it was hooked up, so I wanted to route it differently this time to keep the cord out of my way.

So instead of bringing the quick disconnect cord out of the bottom of the Arctic Fox I brought the camera wires all the way up to the pin box and now the quick disconnect cord will come out of the pin box and into the truck plug in the rear side wall of the bed so there's nothing dangling between the trailer and the truck. That's kind of hard to explain, and even more difficult to envision so I'll take some pictures of it when it's finished which will probably be the middle of next year.

Then I walked up this dry wash for a while.

I was hoping to find some flowers but all I found was a few little bitty flowers like this yellow one which was actually about the size of my thumbnail.

I never quite made it to the top of the hill that you can see here, it started getting real rocky and dangerous, and since I'm alone and geezerly the top didn't seem like a good place to test my skills and balance.

Even though I didn't make it to the top I still had a pretty nice view.
