I ran into the same thing last fall at Pima County. The 30 amp sites didn't have internet working so she offered a 50 amp site. She had an adapter for sale, but i knew I had one somewhere in my rig if I could find it. I did end up finding it and am using it for the first time since then in at an rv park in Arkansas that only had one site left--50 amps.

Your story makes me feel better and gives me hope that one day I'll be able to use this 50 amp adapter again so I don't feel so bad about paying for something I'm only going to use once.

I have used my adapter about four times in 12 years.

That gives me some hope of it earning a spot on board the Arctic Fox. But I spend so little time plugged in during the year I don't know if it will ever see daylight again after I leave here. But whether I ever use it again or not I paid 20 bucks for it so I can't throw it away. I'll just have to settle for having a warm fuzzy feeling that I can now adapt to any female plug an RV park can throw at me.

The Minimalist have a 20/20 rule that says if you can replace something for not more than $20 within a 20 minute drive, you throw the item away rather than store it for "just in case". Of course, they have more money than many of us do and they live in an urban area.

I had never heard of that concept before, but it does make sense. I think more sense than the rule if you buy something you've got to get rid of something, and if you haven't used it in some number of years you're supposed to get rid of it, I've never been able to adhere to either of those rules.
