I didn't do much of anything interesting today, I took a break from my Bronco camper projects and spent a lot of the day just relaxing and recuperating.
These Bronco projects have caused me to do several things that I seldom do. One is do any kind of physical labor, if there's not an App for it, I have no desire to do it. Another is stand on a ladder for long periods of time. And the other is crawl around on my hands and knees in the Bronco camper.
Standing on my telescoping ladder which has rather narrow rungs for more than a few minutes causes my feet to bend around the rungs so I end up with my feet looking like a bird perching on a limb. This gets very painful after a while to say the least.
And crawling around on your hands and knees for an hour or two has to be experienced to be truly appreciated. I wear knee pads and they do help a lot, but after a while even they don't keep the pain away. And I'm not sure which is more painful, being on my knees for an hour, or trying to stand up after being on my knees for an hour.
I like to think that doing things like this keeps me limber and my joints operating smoothly, and maybe at one time it did. But now I have to loosen up for a few minutes just to be able to bend down and touch my belt buckle. And when standing up from the crawling position my knees sound like a Castanets solo.
Use to when I came up with a project I wanted to do my only thought was, how to do it ? But now I can see in the future my first thought will end up being, am I capable of doing it ? I don't like the thought of getting like that but it looks like I've got about as much chance to stop it as I do of climbing Mount Everest in ballet slippers.
