Sandhill cranes have affected my sleeping habits

I've been taking it easy since there's not much to do today. I got so used to waking up with the Cranes every morning that I woke up at 5:30 this morning even though I'd planned on sleeping late. I hope I can break that habit pretty quick since there's no reason for me to be getting up even before sunrise, now that I don't have to get dressed and walk half a mile to where the Cranes are roosting.

I've been trying to get myself in a video mood. Of course, I've been in video moods before, but that was so long ago that I'd forgotten everything I knew about making videos, so it's taking an effort to get myself interested in making videos again, mostly because of dealing with the video software which is somewhat him complicated.

So I'm trying to convince myself that making videos would be an interesting challenge that I could overcome, just like other challenges that I enjoy dealing with as a boondocker. I already have the equipment I need to do it, and I have the software to put the videos together. My biggest objection is relearning what it takes to do it and remembering it once I relearn it.

But I enjoy a challenge, and making brief videos might help ensure I don't get bored with my blog. So the only way I can find out if this will work for me is to make a few videos and see if I can simplify them to the point of making videos fun, or at least not as laborious and tedious as they can be.

My computer screen while working on "Whitewater Draw" YouTube video. It's pretty complicated for me. I can do it, but it takes too long. If I could get better at it, and do it quicker, it might be something I would enjoy. I have to say that DaVinci Resolve 17, which you're looking at here, is way easier and less complicated than the Adobe Premiere I was using before.

This Osprey flew over yesterday, I don't see many of these in my travels.

This is a picture of the rare flightless "Drowning Ducks" of Saggy Bottoms. Since these rare ducks can't fly and have to waddle everywhere, their migration would normally take them to the northern part of Alaska a distance of about 3000 miles. But since that's too far for them to waddle they drown themselves in the Lake instead of migrating, Which explains why their so rare.

It's a sad sight to see, but all too common at Saggy Bottoms. But then again its not as sad as 10,000 flightless ducks dodging trucks and cars as they waddle down the interstate.
