I had an appointment with my accountant today in Colorado Springs which lasted about 2 hours. 2 hours of nothing but numbers... my head still hurts.
The good news that came out of that was that it looks like my 2015 taxes aren't going to be as bad as I thought. In fact it's reached a point where my Colorado state taxes are twice as much is my IRS taxes. And no moving won't help since my income is derived from the state of Colorado I will have to pay taxes on it no matter where I live. I stopped by a motorcycle shop in Colorado Springs and bought an oil filter for the Yamaha WR 450. Pretty soon now I'll have to change the oil after its break-in period is over. I also stopped by Walmart and bought a few critical supplies that were running low [ beer] and got rid of some bags of trash that were piling up. Bags of trash are problem because I can't set them outside or leave them in the bed of the truck because the Bears will get into them and make a huge mess,... Don't ask me how I know this. So all in all it's been a very productive day and getting the tax information to the accountant was the last thing I needed to do before I can relax and not have to deal with any government agency until next year, I hope. theboondork
