Will there be fireworks tonight?

I hope everyone is having a happy Fourth of July. The 4th of July I'm having in Denver has been a bit wet, and as I write this, it's still debatable whether we will be shooting off fireworks because of the weather. My daughter invited a couple of dozen folks over for a barbecue and to watch the fireworks this afternoon; the barbecue worked okay with some modifications, but the fireworks have been an ongoing weather problem.

Of course, since the 4th of July is happening on an oddball day, fireworks have been exploding in this area starting Friday night, and Sunday night; many fireworks were going off. So it makes me wonder what the fireworks situation will be like tonight since the rain has been in the forecast for a few days, and so many fireworks have been shot off over the weekend. I have to wonder if anybody has any left.

Just finished a very nice fireworks display here at Point Mallard.

This whole neighborhood is a fireworks display, and they do so at every opportunity. But it was a bit rainy so I didn't take any pictures, my fireworks pictures never come out very good anyway.

But I'm glad to hear the weather was more cooperative for your fireworks viewing opportunities.

It rained most of the day but the public fireworks show still went on during that time when the sun has technically set but the light is still there when pilots tend to get in their "night flying" time to stay qualified.

I think I remember something about that, Linda. I believe it's called Civil Twilight if I remember correctly, and it's not something I've had to think about since I got out of the Air Force. I could have gone outside the camper and taken a few snapshots of the fireworks, but I just wasn't in the mood to be around a bunch of people and didn't want to take a chance to get my camera wet.
