It sure is getting crowded around here and I don't know why. The Big Shows not over yet so that shouldn't have anything to do with the crowds. I wonder if it's because people can't check into the Long Term Visitor Areas and their having to look for other options. Oh well, whatever it is, if you want to live a stress free life you have to roll with the punches.
A neighbor putting up the solar panels. I think this would get annoying and possibly dangerous as you get older. To save all of this hassle just buy a couple more panels and leave them all flat. She's okay today but how about when the roof is wet, or the winds blowing 30 miles an hour, or your knees hurt and you can't climb the ladder. I cant think of very many reasons why it makes any sense to do this.

Driving down highway 95 to Yuma I passed a bunch of farms and decided to take a few pictures. Since I was going shopping I didn't bring my Canon camera, all I had was my Sony pocket camera that I keep in the console of the truck. And it takes okay pictures but it doesn't do very well zooming in and everything I was taking pictures of was far away .
This was kind of odd. I took this picture from far away and I thought it was some farm laborers waiting to go to work. But when I put it on the computer and zoomed in it turned out to be a group of old folks watching the people in the picture above, work. Maybe they were on some kind of farm tour or something but they looked kind of strange standing out there in the middle of nowhere like that.
An overview of the VFW BLM boondocking location. There are some woods, and a few more boondocking sites just off to the right. Some of the sites are only accessible for tents or a small RV like a van. This is the smallest of the boondocking areas here and also the most primo because of the privacy it affords, the largest part which is where I'm at is mostly out of sight at the very back of the picture....Danged sun in my eyes When I first arrived at the VFW boondocking area I saw all this junk out in the woods and my first thought was it looks like bums have been living here. And that concerned me because I'm boondocked about 50 feet from this spot and I didn't want people to confuse my looks and demeanor with that of an actual bum. And since the only difference is their usually drunk and I'm usually not, it's difficult for some folks to tell the difference between a serious boondocker like myself and a serious bum. But my fears were for naught, because on Sunday morning there was eight or ten young guys out there shooting at each other with paintballs, and appeared to be having a great deal of fun, so more power to em. |
