The clouds started rolling in yesterday afternoon and somewhat decreased the heat but the increase in humidity made it more uncomfortable.

Another hot day today made worse by being cloudy yesterday and today which brought the humidity up into the teens which makes it even more uncomfortable. It seems like I'm having to leave earlier and earlier every morning to beat the heat on my walk, so if I don't pack up and get out of this campground soon I'm going to have to start carrying a flashlight on my morning walk.

I'm still messing around with my blog mostly just trying to fix odds and ends while at the same time learning what I can fix and what I can't. Unfortunately my comment section, which was the original reason I started tearing into the blog, I still can't get it to work exactly right. At the moment the fonts in the boxes for your name and email address aren't dark enough to see clearly and I have yet to find a way to change them which is weird because I can change any other font on the entire website but I can't change those, at least not yet.

And speaking of me messing around with my comment area, somehow I lost two comments, I don't know what I did but they're gone, so if any of you have written a comment that I didn't respond to, and you know who you are, please forgive me it wasn't done on purpose. I appreciate every comment I get and if I don't respond it's because for some reason beyond my control I didn't receive it.

I can't believe its going to be June tomorrow, I should be sitting in Denver enjoying the cool weather and the mountains, but instead I'm kind of stuck in a place that would be great in January or February but not much fun in what will soon be summer.

As so typical in the desert I could see the rain showers all around but the moisture evaporated before it hit the ground, but at least it acted like a swamp cooler and the rapidly evaporating moisture cooled off the air.

Later the thicker clouds rolled in over the horizon and the upper level winds, and rising air currents blew the clouds into strange and fanciful shapes

I spent some time working on my blog yesterday and I've got it almost done but there's still some glitches I need to fix. It wasn't easy because all the things I had to learn when I first built it I had forgotten, so I had to relearn everything all over again. That seems to be the case now days for everything I do except eating and sleeping.

One of the main things I wanted to get done was fix my comment area so someone could actually write in the comment box which was darn near impossible the way it was before. I was never able to repair it so I just ripped it all out and started over. It's not quite complete yet but I got rid of all the requirements to send a comment, and made writing in the box a lot easier, I just hope it works after all that mental effort because I don't have a lot to spare.

I put all of my Archived blogs back where they belong, an entire year's worth had disappeared for some reason. I really can't stand the way the archives work I wish I could make them collapse down into individual years instead of months but apparently it can't be done without writing a bunch of code and if I tried that I'm pretty sure my blog would burst into flame and deny it ever existed.

Speaking of writing code I can't seem to get rid of that white border around my pictures. There's supposedly an easy way of doing it which I can't get to work so I used a small string of code that was supposed to make it go away but it's still there and apparently will continue to be there until I can solve that problem.

So it's possible my blog might be a little wonky for a while until I can get all the kinks worked out but probably won't actually disappear for more than an hour or so while I'm fooling with it.

Playing around with the innards of a blog is a lot like fooling around with your brain..... It's best left alone, because it's a lot harder to put back together than it was to take apart.

Some of my few remaining neighbors. Almost everyone has left because of the heat, or maybe because of me, it's hard to tell.

it's so hot now days I like to pretend there's a light dusting of snow on the ground and I can go rolling around in it anytime I want.
