It was a peaceful and quiet Easter Sunday for me. I lazed around and didn't do much of anything except laundry. But my family wasn't so lucky. They had church this morning, a party to go to, and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. I counted myself as very lucky this Easter Sunday.

After using my brand-new electric heater for a couple of days and nights, I can officially pronounce it "much better than the old one." It is quiet and keeps the temperature in the camper much more stable. My old electric heater still works, so I'll keep it around as a spare...just in case.

I could also use both electric heaters when plugged into a campground at a 30 amp plug. But outside of the house, the 115-amp plug that I'm plugged into now is only 15 amp, so it will kick the breaker if I plug in two heaters. It will also kick the breaker if I use my microwave while the heaters are running.

It looks like tomorrow will be April, and April sounds a lot warmer than March, but around here, there's not much difference. It starts looking and feeling like Spring in late May or early June.

Don't throw away your old Easter basket when the eggs are gone, it can be repurposed into an Army helmet, or a snazzy hat  to impress the girls at school.

I can almost always think of something to write about, it may be boring, but I'll write about it anyway. But finding a picture to take is more difficult. I don't like to take pictures of random things that don't interest me, so when I need a picture I had rather dig up an old picture I've never shown before, than a picture that doesn't interest me.

It's another nice day in Denver, but snow on Monday is possible, so it's a typical Spring.

I lost a lot of my appetite when I had my health problem, but now I'm almost back to normal, and I'm eating about as much as before. This could be a sign that I'm returning to normal, or more than likely, the food is better here.

Normally, when I would get to Denver in late May, I would wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, and by 9 o'clock, get out and walk around the neighborhood for a while. But now that I'm here early, I find that more difficult. This morning at 9 o'clock, it was 33° outside, which I don't see as encouraging to exercise outside. The solution is to walk later in the day, but the longer I wait for it to warm up, the less inclined I am to walk around. But I've only been here a few days, so it will probably take me a few more days to get back to normal and get used to dealing with the cold.

Amazon delivered my new electric heater yesterday afternoon, and so far, it's working really well. Its thermostat seems more accurate and keeps the temperatures more consistent in the camper, and it has a little remote with it so I can change the temperature when I'm lying in bed if it's too hot or too cold. My old electric heater had a thermostat on it, but I always had to adjust it because it seemed like it was either too hot or too cold no matter where I set it.

I do enjoy being in Lake Havasu. I'm not sure why except that it has lots of free boondocking, some fun things to do, and it seems friendly to RVers.  It's only an hour and a half drive to Laughlin Nevada if you want to do a little gambling, or some free casino parking lot boondocking.

If I don't get to spend much time in New Mexico because of their new State Park fee schedule, I think I will miss the Bosque Del Apache the most. The amount of birds there is incredible, and the picture taking opportunities endless, rivaled only by  White Water Draw in Arizona.

I scoured the entire yard and found two flowers blooming. And I think there both weeds.

It was a nice day today in Denver, with temperatures reaching the 60s. The nights are still pretty chilly, in the 30s, but I'm plugged in, so I can run my electric heater all night and stay comfortable.

I'm expecting an Amazon delivery today of a new electric heater. Mine was getting pretty old, and it didn't have tip-over protection; if it fell over, it would keep running. I never had a problem with that because it never tipped over before, but that seems like it could be more safe, so the new heater will shut off if it falls over.

It sure feels great being here with the family again. I feel a lot better about being able to solve my problems. I'm also eating a whole lot better than before and enjoying it more.

I miss not having any flowers around here to take pictures of. When I needed a picture for my blog, I could always step outside and find a few roses. But it still looks like winter around here, so it's going to be a long while before anything blooms.

Normally, when I get here in late May, it's warm enough to get out and do things, but I'm still going through the physical and mental shock of leaving 80° weather in Phoenix and suddenly being in very chilly weather in Denver most of the time. And it happened so quickly I didn't have a chance to slide into chilly weather and become acclimatized to it slowly; it hit me rather quickly as soon as I left Phoenix and got to Winslow, Arizona, and suddenly it's in the 20s.

Oh well, life is supposed to be a challenge, and that which does not kill us makes us stronger, so I must be getting stronger every day.
