It is cold tonight in the middle of Mississippi. Sure glad my boondocking skills are coming back to me tonight. Really Liked your narrative and photos tonight.

Well thank you, Barney, the sun was out today, so I had better luck taking pictures at the indoor arena.

Yup. That's too young to be up on a horse by yourself. Way too young. Glad you survived your morning....sounds miserable. But good to see you thawed out and llived to tell about it. Some nice photos of very lovely/sweet young girls.

The parents of those kids are largely ranchers or in some way connected to horses. And since they're horse people, they want to get their kids on a horse as quickly as possible, maybe for bragging rights or maybe to make sure their kids grow up to be horse people to.

If you are a rancher you not only ride a horse to work, you ride it all day. But, those kids are way too young to be on anything as big and powerful as a horse. Would they send a kid that young out on a motorcycle? Wait! Haven't I seen very young kids riding ATVs? Nevermind.

Yes that's very true Linda, since Americans have more disposable income than most folks, were able to afford to buy tiny little motorcycles for kids that are barely old enough to ride them. In fact where I'm at right now during this rodeo everywhere I look are 8 or 10-year-old kids flying around on electric scooters and little electric motorcycles, and of course those two wheel contrivances guaranteed to give you a face-plant sooner or later.
