Not much going on today, it's been chilly and rainy almost the whole day and I've had to wear a long sleeve shirt in the trailer just so I wouldn't have to turn on the heat.
I signed up for a one month stay at Haggard's RV Park. They offered me a good deal on a monthly rate, and there really nice folks so it seemed like a good place to stay till the middle of June. I think after that I will have to head higher up into the mountains to get out of the heat. Until then I will use this as a home base and travel around the area when I get a chance and see some of the sights.
If you're reading my motorcycle blog you know that I passed my motorcycle test this weekend so now I can go get a motorcycle license without the state having to test me. I couldn't believe how tired and sore I was after sitting on a motorcycle all day, but it's been a long time since I've done that so I guess I had lost what motorcyclist call "The Iron Butt".
I'm still having some bird problems, I think I've got them sealed out of the fifth wheel pin box. But they're still trying to build a nest where the propane tanks are stored. I tried leaving the door open thinking that would make it a less inviting nest building area, but they still put grass in their.
I took off a piece of the plastic stuff that covers the bottom of the whole trailer. I think it's called chloroplast, or something like that. I took off the piece that's on the very back end of the trailer so that Matt, that's making my motorcycle rack, can weld the receivers on to the trailer frame. Matt's been real busy at his auto repair shop, called "Fetty's Automotive " in Pueblo, so he hasn't had time to work on my motorcycle rack. Plus he's been busy helping around the campground which his wife Nancy runs, because Memorial days coming up and they're getting the campground ready for the summer tourist business.
