A cunning plan that will give me even more power....muahahaha!!!

Took the Grandkids to one of the local Parks today.

I got my truck back from the repair shop this morning. They found a vacuum leak in the fuel filter holder that the fuel filter screws into that would cause precisely the kind of problems I've been having. And since the vacuum leak gets worse over time, it would cause my problems to get worse over time, which is what was happening. So they put a new fuel filter mounting head on the engine, and hopefully, that wretched problem shall haunt me no more.

Now that the truck runs again, I need to get it ready to carry the little Bronco pop-up slide-in camper. Last summer, I left the spare fuel tank that I mounted in the front of the truck's bed in place, but this summer, I think I will take it out and see how things work without it.

I've been giving a lot of thought to replacing the two AGM batteries in the little Bronco pop-up. Ever since I bought four 12 volt, 100 amp, lithium iron BattleBorn batteries a few years ago for the Arctic Fox, I have come to appreciate the ease and simplicity of dealing with lithium iron batteries instead of lead-acid batteries.

And most of all, I really like not having to worry about taking the batteries below 50% usage and shortening their lifespan when I can take the lithium-iron batteries down to 90%. So when you buy 100 amps of lithium-iron battery, you're getting almost 100 amps to use instead of 50 usable amps in a lead-acid battery. It also helps that each battery is 12 volts instead of having to deal with two 6 volt batteries and having to buy everything in pairs.

So here's what I'm thinking at the moment.... Buy one or two BattleBorn lithium iron batteries for the little Bronco camper. One BattleBorn battery will give me just about the same usable amps as the two AGM's that are in it now and will get rid of 30 or 40 pounds. And two BattleBorn's will give me a safety cushion in case of a few rainy days while I'm boondocking.

And the kicker is in the fall before I leave Denver. I can take the BattleBorn's out of the little Bronco pop-up and put them, guess where....... in the Arctic Fox for extra power during my winter travels. Instead of worrying about my current AGM batteries dying and freezing over the winter, I will have two extra usable batteries in the Arctic Fox. It's a win-win...... except for my credit card  which will be a lose-lose.

My memory of playgrounds as a kid was a Swing Set and some Monkey Bars sitting in the mud. Oh yeah, and a metal Slide so hot from being in the sun that your pants would catch fire before you got to the bottom.

My granddaughter coming down a concrete slide that is actually slicker than the plastic ones. I don't think I've ever seen concrete that smooth. I wonder if it's got some kind of epoxy coating over it.
