A day of limited accomplishments, but successful nonetheless.

FRANKIE BALLARD? WOW!! It's FRANKIE BALLARD!!.... Who the heck is Frankie Ballard??? One of the many ways you can tell when you're old is you no longer recognize the popular people, nor do you care.

I filled up one of my propane tanks this morning and later went for a short walk in the desert.

I stopped by the motocross track to see if anything was going on, I thought there might be some riders out practicing for the race Sunday, but the place was deserted so I guess everyone in the area already knows how to ride.

When I was looking at the motocross course on Google earth I noticed an area near one of the racetracks that kind of looked like a trash dump. It had a lot of debris in a fairly small area where it looked like people had thrown their old refrigerators and stuff. But today when I saw it in person it actually turned out to be a Trials Course, which is the kind of course my little Beta 250 is supposed to race on.

It consisted of a bunch of large obstacles, some of them pretty high, that you're supposed to ride your Trials bike over, and if I hadn't seen videos of people riding Trials bikes on courses like this I would have assumed it wouldn't be possible.

And of course it would be impossible for me, it gave me the willies just looking at the place. But now I know if I ever want to commit suicide and go out in a blaze of glory this would be the place.
