A lazy Sunday boondocking in Ajo

It's been a quiet day today not much of anything going on except just lazing around. It almost hit 80 today and the humidity was 12 so instead of being hot that low humidity made it really comfortable. This is one of those days when it's a little too warm in the sun, and a little to cool in the shade. The desert is weird like that.

I did run to town this morning and picked up a couple things at the grocery store, which were about 30 percent more than Walmart. But hey, if I had to drive 50 miles to a Walmart I certainly wouldn't have saved any money. I also need to look around town for some propane. I've still got a couple of weeks worth on the tank I'm using now, but I like to keep both tanks full if possible.

While I was in town this morning I went to the Plaza, which is the old part of downtown, and took a few snapshots of some of the buildings. Sunday morning is my favorite time to go into town for pictures. It's never crowded so I can pull over anywhere I want and take pictures without getting in anybody's way. Also there's a lot less cars blocking up the view of the buildings. About the only cars I saw in town this morning were at the beautiful old Catholic Church.

I've discovered that my Internet connection here is pitiful at best. It's kind of weird because my Verizon cell phone service is full bars, and I can see the cell phone tower on a mountain not too far away, but my phone data is so slow that sometimes I don't have any at all and when I do it takes forever to accomplish anything. So posting to my blog is requiring a lot of patience on my part and so far is an exercise in frustration.

My neighbors told me that there Verizon phone has the same problem but the data reception is a little better over at the rodeo arena which is only half a mile or so away, so I may have to go over there and see if things work any better.
