I was planning on running around and doing some sightseeing this morning but I woke up feeling kind of lazy so I changed my mind and decided I would do something less strenuous like relax and think about things I will do when I'm in the mood to do something.
Which reminds me, I always keep a list of things I need to do to the truck and the Arctic Fox, just so I don't forget what needs to be done to keep those two important pieces of equipment not only maintained but improved so my life is easier, less stressful, and worry free.
I have found that keeping a list like that keeps me from forgetting the do-it-yourself ideas I come up with that help simplify my life, and gives me something to accomplish during those increasingly rare times when I'm feeling ambitious.
Now with a fertile mind like I have, and the boundless imagination I'm blessed with, if I'm not careful a list like that can grow to the point where it becomes unmanageable and there's more things that need to be done than I could do in my entire life, so I have to be very careful not to let things in the list get out of hand.
So in order to keep control of my to-do list I have developed a system that automatically prevents the list from becoming unruly and blossoming into an insurmountable and overpowering number of things that need to be done.
The simple yet elegant solution to this problem came to me one day while I was relaxing in the Arctic Fox. I decided that I would use the full-time RVers concept that says when you bring a new item into the RV you have to get rid of an old item. So I decided that when I write a new DIY project on my list, an old DIY project gets thrown away.
This concept makes sure there's only one item on my "Things to Do List" at all times, which removes a lot of stress from my life knowing things I need to do aren't piling up. It also keeps me from worrying about things I need to be doing. It saves me money, because some DIY projects can get very expensive. And best of all without a bunch of things to do every day it gives me more time to relax.
These are some of the flowers growing in the lava field.
I like the little stars in this flower, but unfortunately this flower is so tiny they can't be seen except in this picture.
