A mini-vacation in the next day or so

I've decided to take a brief mini-vacation tomorrow or maybe the next day. I'm not going far, just up into the mountains somewhere, I've been so lazy lately that I'm hoping a trip to the mountains will help get me back to normal.... Which is still lazy, but getting out and doing things anyway.

I also need some time staying in the little Bronco to give more thought to living in the little Bronco during my winter's travels. Unfortunately I won't be able to get a taste of what it's actually like living full-time in the little Bronco until everything I need for full-time living is packed into the little Bronco. Which includes among other things the four lithium iron batteries that are in the Arctic Fox.

Since I don't have much extra stuff in the Arctic Fox to live with, I'm going to have to wait till the last minute before I can load up the little Bronco for its winter travels, or I won't have the things I need to live in the Arctic Fox while I'm waiting to leave.

So it looks like if I decide to travel in the little Bronco this winter I'm going to have to put everything I need in the little Bronco and live in it for a while here at my daughter's house, to make sure everything I need is transferred out of the Arctic Fox.

Doing all of that sounds like an awful lot of work to me, but I'm not sure what else I can do if I want to test out the viability of living in a much smaller RV over the winter.

I'm hoping that moving into a truck camper will give me a lot more mobility than I have now. AND!

No more worries about a trailer breaking down.

No more "dead end" road nightmares.

No more backing up problems.

No more National Park roads that are too narrow and twisty for a 30 foot trailer.
 
The extra margin of safety by not having thousands of pounds of trailer behind me, so I can stop, and maneuver quicker.

Going up and down steep mountain passes will no longer be a concern.

Being able to stop and Park anywhere I please. To me that's a big deal, I miss a lot of pictures because there's no place to pull over while towing the Arctic Fox.

Being able to drive to places quicker, because I can drive the speed limit, giving me less stress, and less driver fatigue .

No more mom-and-pop gas stations I can't get in and out of.

The financial savings of getting 50% better fuel mileage and not having to buy a trailer tag every year. Not to mention having to buy expensive trailer tires.

And best of all, more boondocking opportunities that are available by living in a truck camper.

And basically the only thing I'm giving up is living space.... Most of which experience has taught me that I don't really need anyway, so hopefully going small will make it all worthwhile.
