A new boondocking site on Plomosa road

I made the big three mile move over to the Plomosa Road BLM boondocking area this morning and got a camping spot. I'm not sure I'm going to stay in this exact spot though, it's a little rockier than I like but it will give me a chance to look around some.

I drove past some of the long-term visitor areas "LTVA" yesterday when I went out to the Roadrunner boondocking area and they looked pretty crowded. You usually can't tell much by just driving by them because a lot of people camp close to the road so they often look busier than they really are. My holding tanks are still doing okay but one of these days I'll have to check into an LTVA to dump.

It's starting to warm up here getting up into the low 80s every day which is just fine when the humidity's 15 percent so I'm not being forced out of the desert just yet. I plan on hanging around southern Arizona at least through March so I can see the wildflowers blooming. Generally the whole blooming season is from about the middle of February till the end of April which of course is highly variable and based on temperatures and moisture.

One doesn't often see the Goodyear blimp go by, and he had gone waaay by in the time it took me to get my camera. I'm just guessing, but it might have something to do with the off-road races in Parker. From what I heard on the radio the races were a bigger deal than I thought.
