there was an old man who lived in a shoe, he had so many pics he didn't know what to do, So he put them in Lightroom and worked on them Quick, so every last Image has a chance at a click.

I went to the hardware store and filled up a propane tank at $3.99 a gallon; propane sure is high nowadays,.... But then what isn't? The grocery prices at Walmart are starting to look like what regular grocery stores used to look like a couple of years ago. And the prices at regular grocery stores are shocking! Diesel is around $4.50 a gallon now, and up in the mountains, it's pushing five bucks. I used to read about what inflation did to people on a fixed income; now I get to experience it.... Lucky me.

The gadget that holds my camper door open so the wind doesn't blow it shut is a mechanical thing that requires I get out of the camper and hook it up or unhook it to keep the door open or let it close. That's rather annoying, especially if It's raining, so I bought a magnetic camper door holder from Amazon that will hold the door open or let it close without me having to get out of the camper to do it..... It's the simple things that help make a tiny house a tiny home.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to drive up to the old ghost town of Como on Saturday since there's kind of an "open house" for all the narrow gauge train stuff. I really couldn't get any decent pictures of the turntable and roundhouse when I was there before since everything was locked up. But that shouldn't be a problem on Saturday, but I am worried about trying to take pictures with crowds of people around, but since I've never been there on "open house" day, who knows? There may be hundreds of people, or I could be there by myself..... Which is what I'm hoping for.

Here you can see the Lances door being held all the way open by my old door holder, on the bottom. And the new magnetic holder on the top.

the old way required that I get out of the camper and use two hands to hold the door all the way open, while I latch the door holder with the other hand.

The new door holder is magnetic so I can just open the door while I'm inside the camper and the magnet holds it that way, until I pull the door closed again.

I'm leaving the old mechanism in place for a while to make sure the new one works like it's supposed to.

Look just left of the PPG door and find that very substantial mounting point attached to the camper. It looks like it even has an up and down powered ability that could lift a heavy camper if needed.

You're right Barney, no matter how badly they're built, truck campers do have four strong mounting points, one on each corner.

I don't have a whole lot of imagination and definitely no engineering abilities, But I believe to work properly, a hoist for the propane tank would have to be pretty much directly above the factory propane cubby and high enough that the bottom of the propane tank would clear the bottom of the propane cubby, since the tank has to be almost laying down to go in the factory cubby, and when it's in the cubby then I can stand it up. And it's partially those contortions I have to go through to get it into the cubby hole that makes his whole job so difficult.

I did see an old guy that had found a solution to this problem and something I may end up doing also. He had parked his truck camper near the propane fill point, and when the young sturdy looking guy had filled his propane tank, he reached in his pocket, pulled out a five dollar bill and paid the guy to put his full propane tank back in his truck camper.

Just my luck, I would have some old geezer weaker than me filling up my propane tank. If you ever get Quartzite you will see so many old geezers there working an extra job that the chance of seeing a young person doing anything in "Q" is very rare.

My first thought was to try using one the 10# refillable containers Amazon has advertised..

Thanks for the idea Barney. Yes 10 pound cylinders would be considerably lighter to lift up, but I would have to refill them more often. This summer I've been getting about 23 days of use out of one 20 pound tank, but once I start using it for heat that's going to drop in half, and if I'm carrying half the amount of propane I'll be filling up tanks every week. And since I can't always get to a propane refill place that quick I would have to carry more than one spare tank, and even though the 10 pound tanks are smaller I don't know where I would put two of them.

But smaller tanks gives me something to think about, and if it doesn't get as cold in Arizona as it was last winter that idea might work out.
