A temporary fix for a permanent problem

Since none of the mobile RV repair people I've contacted have gotten in touch with me, getting someone to come to the house and fix the Lance camper is a lot more difficult than I thought. So I've taken some advice from several of my readers who suggested that I buy some temporary taillights from Harbor Freight and install those on the Lance, so at least I will have some tail lights to drive the Lance someplace to get it fixed.

So I went to Harbor Freight this morning, got some generic trailer taillights, and electrically hooked them up to the truck the first time I tried... Except I don't have tail-lights; I've got turn signals and brake lights, but I don't have tail-lights... It seems like that must be a clue that something is wrong and may be causing all my problems with the Lance. I've got taillights on the truck, just not on the camper.

I went to Walmart while in town and picked up a few groceries. I don't need many groceries while I'm in Denver since I'm quite well fed by my family, enough so to gain weight while I'm here.

Since I've got mostly working lights on the back of the Lance now, temporary though they may be, I think I will put the camper on the truck tomorrow morning to see how it fits and to adjust the tie-downs. I need to go to Colorado Springs Friday, and I would like to take the Lance with me to see how it's going to ride and see what I need to do to get it to sit level.

I'm glad you're feeling better Barney. Its never good when folks of your advanced years take a fall; but I told you not to take that gymnastics class.

Ever since Obama care its almost impossible to see a doctor on short notice. They expect you to get triaged at an emergency room where they will charge you a $1000 just to look at you and let you know if you really need a doctor or not.

But you're a tough old bird, and if you survived Vietnam you can certainly survive this... You did survive didn't you? I only ask because some people aren't sure.

Linda, you're the second person I've read today who can't sign into Barney's site. Can you sign into any other sites that use Blogger? I see now that I use my google account to sign into the blogs I read which are on Blogger. If you've got a google account, you can do it that way.....(I don't use the google account for anything except blogger and a couple of other things. I resisted for a long time, and finally gave in.)

I have not found a way to sign into a Google account. I've had my techie spouse look into it but he has not yet come back with a solution for me. I keep hoping. Plus, Blogger is not the only one challenging me although I think we've found fixes for most of the others. There are several I can only sign in as anonymous. Irritating that things no longer work well. I don't know what changed that made them a problem.
