One of the advantages to living in a conversion van is that driving from Q to Walmart and back allowed my alternator to recharge my batteries when the sun was not cooperating.

I did the same thing when I traveled with a slide in truck camper. I only had 1 hundred watt solar panel on the roof and 1 Walmart "Marine" battery, I know, I know, I just didn't know any better at the time. And keeping that one battery charged up was an unending job. But I wasn't a full timer then so I didn't spend weeks sitting in one place, in fact I did a lot more driving than I did sitting which is one of the reasons you don't see me driving all over the country visiting all the places people should visit, because I've already been to all the ones that interest me.
