Thanks for all the details. It helps me to understand what the H was going on in the emergency room.

Glad to help out Barney. But let me emphasize that all of my problems with the hospital was the fact that I was in the hospital and had nothing to do with the people that were helping me. In fact everyone I came in contact with, and that was literally more than a dozen people who were involved in my care, were absolutely fantastic. They were all professional, treated me with kindness, and made my hospital stay as well as could be expected under the circumstances.

I'm glad you were treated well in the ER. I wasn't. I finally pulled out my own IV and went home. I had Covid and they were afraid I'd stop breathing thus requiring oxygen. They wanted to admit me but couldn't find a bed for me. For all the hours I was there, the only treatment I actually received was two Tylenol to bring down my fever. I only went because I called the nurse line with a question and she wanted to order an ambulance for me. My worst symptom was a runny nose for which they didn't even offer me a box of tissues.
