another cold day on Padre island.

All of these pictures were taken before the cold front came through..... and decided to stay.

This is the third day in a row of cloudy, cold, rainy, weather here on Padre island. At least the wind is tolerable but it's still bothersome enough to take the fun out of walking around outside.

I set my alarm clock again to wake me up  at 6 o'clock this morning but yet again the clouds on the horizon were too thick to have a pretty sunrise and it was too cold to stand around on the beach doing anything else, so I made a cup of coffee and contemplated my plans for the day.

By the time my coffee was finished I had determined that I didn't have, or want, any plans for the day which suited me just fine because I don't like it when I tell myself what to do and prefer to stumble aimlessly through the day doing absolutely nothing if I feel like it. After all what's the point of being lazy and unambitious if you're making up things for yourself to do all the time?

I'll be leaving here Sunday morning, to where I do not know, and if I did I wouldn't tell myself, I want it to be a surprise. I do know it will be West, that just makes sense because if I drove East in about 30 seconds I would be in the Gulf of Mexico. But wherever it is I hope it will have more consistently good weather than Padre Island.

Actually the weather here hasn't been all that bad, in fact compared to the last time I was here it's downright great, I think it really comes down to my difficulty in dealing with the high humidity and the way it makes the cold colder, and the heat hotter, if that makes any sense. But if ya gonna hang around the coast, that's the price ya gonna pay.

Some of my neighbors.... They just don't know I'm here, and if they did they would probably sell their house and move, and I wouldn't blame them, I wouldn't live in any neighborhood that would let me In either.
