,Not much going on for me today, mostly resting up from a busy day and a late night last night.
It's been pretty warm today in the high 80s and since I'm boondocking I don't have any air-conditioning, but I've got the vent fans going, a few windows open, and my endless breeze fan blowing on me so I'm fairly comfortable. They told me I could plug into the barn but the ranch folks have been so kind to me already I hate to run up their electric bill just to cool my lazy self . They all work so hard every day I'm already feeling a little guilty for sitting around doing nothing. I have to keep reminding myself it's the only thing I'm good at.
I've met more of the young men that work here now and I'm convinced more than ever that living and working on the land produces people that are tough, responsible, independent, and know the true meaning of a days work for a days pay.
I was planning on leaving Monday but I'm thinking now it's probably going to be closer to the middle or later in the week before I will be ready to leave.
What do you think a real cowboy looks like
Lord only knows how many miles of dirt road their are on this ranch. But it must be a steep learning curve to find your way back home.
