Another peaceful quiet day at Rockhound State Park

If I were you, I would click the pics, but I'm not you which is easy to see, truth be known, I'm barely me!

My new location at Rockhound has water and electric, and I will be here until Monday morning.

The water is useful for me because I can put some in my tank. But the electricity is only useful for me because I started up my air conditioner and ran it for half an hour just to exercise it. And I'm running my refrigerator on AC power to get a better understanding what's going on with its problems. And so far I found out that the fridge works perfect running on AC, but not so much on propane. So now I'm more convinced than ever I need to take the propane burner out of the fridge and clean it.

The wind was blowing again today, not a lot, just enough to make me not want to do anything, so I went for a walk around the campground and up into the hills a little bit which is at least somewhat challenging because it's mostly up and down hill. Because the campground is sitting at the foot of the mountains, other than the campsites themselves, there's not many flat areas at Rockhound.

I was thinking of going into town and getting a few things from Walmart. Because like I've mentioned in the past, there's not a lot of storage room in the Lance, and the weight carrying capabilities of my truck are limited so "stocking up" is not what it once was in the Arctic Fox. Which means that I have to shop for groceries a lot more often than I used to. But I decided that since I'm leaving here Monday morning heading for the City of Rocks State Park, which is only about 40 miles away, I'll just wait till then and go to the Walmart in Deming on my way out of town.

I took a walk up into the hills this morning and took this picture of the entire campground. I believe there's only 28 campsites at Rockhound, which isn't very many, and would probably explain why it's almost always full.
