Antique photographs.... Sort of

Stock tank and pump box wash BLM

Since it was such a nice day I went for a walk down a Jeep trail in the desert this afternoon. From my Boondocking site I can see a windmill and a stock tank out in the desert not too far away so I thought I would walk down there and take some pictures.

It was a nice walk but there wasn't much interesting to take pictures of, basically the same thing that I've been taking pictures of, hills, cactus, and mountains. So when I got back to the Arctic Fox and started looking at the pictures they seemed kind of bland and uninteresting, but instead of throwing them away I figured I would put them on the computer and play with them a little bit.

After some experimenting with making them black and white I decided that I would turn them into antique pictures. I've always liked the way old pictures look, whether their Civil War pictures, or pictures from the old West, I've always thought they had a lot of character. So I took a few of the pictures that I made today and instead of making them pretty like I usually try to do I gave them some character.... and I hope somebody besides me likes them.
