Could this actually be the ghost of Frenchy haunting for all eternity the earthly places he had lived, or has the ole boondork been out in the desert way too long.
theboondork This is the Loretto Chapel that was built in 1878. It stands at the end of the old Santa Fe Trail and was the chapel for a Catholic school that was built here in the 1800s. Among the many interesting things about it are the stained-glass windows which were Built in Paris France, and arrived via a ship from France to New Orleans, a steamboat up the Mississippi River to St. Louis Missouri, then to New Mexico by wagon on the Santa Fe Trail. |
