My two-week stay limit here at Storrie Lake will be over tomorrow so it's time for me to ease on up the road towards Colorado.
My tentative plans are to get to the Walmart in Trinidad Colorado tomorrow, and then on to Colorado Springs the next day. Since I need to dump my tanks before I get to my daughter's house in Denver, and the dump station here at Storrie Lake is closed, I'm thinking of staying at Cheyenne Mountain state Park in Colorado Springs for a night or two so I can get cleaned up and gradually adapt to civilization again before getting back to the big city.
It's hard to believe my winter travels are just about over. It seems like only yesterday I was pulling out of my daughter's driveway in Denver and heading South to escape the impending cold and snow. And now in the blink of an eye I'm on my way back to Denver to escape the oncoming heat of the desert. They say time flies when you're having fun, so I must be having the time of my life.
