I had to run down to Colorado Springs again today to take a few more papers to my accountant. I'm hoping that will be all he needs to complete my 2015 taxes. Yes I know there late, and it may look like procrastination, but it's all part of a cunning plan.
When I got to the culvert of doom there was a herd of wild donkeys there so I stopped and said hi and took a few pictures. They're not really wild, I guess I should call them feral donkeys, because their great-grandparents used to be domestic donkeys but were turned loose when they no longer needed the donkeys to work in the mines pulling the ore carts. So these donkeys just wander around enjoying the freedom to just be a donkey. I guess we have something in common because I get to wander around enjoying the freedom to be a jackass myself.
A herd of wild donkeys
Actually there better than most of the neighbors I've had
Strangely enough there were 5 llamas hanging around with the donkeys
The last couple of nights I've been hearing something making noises in the trailer after I turn out the lights and go to bed, I was hoping it was a ghost but unfortunately it turned out to be a mouse. I stopped at the store today and got some mouse traps but my past experience has been that a ghost would be easier to get rid of than mice. I haven't actually seen the varmint yet but all the signs point to a mouse. I certainly hope it's not one of the other little critters running around here because they're kind of cute and normally stay outside and don't bother anyone. Time will tell.
These aren't the critters that are giving me problems
These guys are good neighbors, they stay outside and do their own thing
