I've been away from my computer for a couple of days doing family stuff but I'm back now and ready for my life to get back to normal.
Mostly what I was doing was babysitting the grandkids while my daughter and her husband took a long weekend and went to Las Vegas Nevada for a brief vacation from parenthood. The babysitting gig required that I live in the house with the kids so I didn't get much time to relax in the Arctic Fox the way I normally would. Needless to say living with two little kids not only cut deeply into my relaxing time but may have done permanent damage to my well earned reputation for extreme laziness.
Well before the end of this babysitting weekend it became crystal clear to me why young people raise kids and old people just drop by every once in a while, say hi to the kids, and then leave.
The weather here in Denver finally got back to normal so now it's sunny and 60 or 70° everyday. The snow melted off the day after it stopped snowing so now I feel more like getting out and doing things. And about the only thing that stops me from doing a lot of things is the horrendous traffic you have to put up with almost anytime of the day if you want to go somewhere and see something anywhere in the Denver area.
But traffic problems will have to be dealt with because tomorrow's going to be a shopping day. I need to go to Walmart, Best Buy, REI, and some place to fill up a propane tank. The propane tank is going to be the biggest problem because when I filled one up last summer in Denver the price was so high I swore I would never do it again.
