I've just been reconnecting with all the folks I know at the gun range, it's always good to see everybody again.
I'm taking a few pictures to let everybody see what the place looks like, it's a very nice shooting facility easily the nicest in Arizona. I'm staying at the shotgun sports part of the range but half a mile away they also have a pistol, rifle and archery range.
Here's something most people have never seen before, lots of people have seen trap ranges, skeet ranges and sporting clay courses but Ben Avery's has something called bunker trap and most people have never heard of it. But there's a very good reason why most people have never heard of it. Now you would think that any sport that is an Olympic sport would be something that people would be familiar with, but not in this case. You see bunker trap is the shotgun sport that the whole world shoots at the Olympics and in a lot of other countries bunker trap is fairly common, some places even have indoor ranges for bunker trap because being an Olympic sport it's a big deal. But in America there are some people that don't want any shooting sport glorified or even recognized, so the highly skilled young American men and women who win medals in this sport are not celebrated, barely recognized, and often not even mentioned. They deserve better.
