There's no downside to clicking the pics ... Other than random, unexplained explosions. Storrie Lake.

I'm amazed there's actually water flowing into the lake. Like you, I wonder, where is it coming from??? Weird at this time of year to have more water than in the spring. Good to see though.

The only thing I can think of Judith is there's a lot of irrigation ditches in this area since it was mostly farmland and Storrie Lake is at the foot of the mountains. This could mean that because of all the water problems Las Vegas has had they might be diverting some water from irrigation areas to the lake, and in the mountains there could be another reservoir or two that they're sending to Storrie Lake.

When I'm traveling, I have to have a mission too. I call it,,,,, Setting a long range destination with several small journeys along the way. Good luck at finding yours, be safe out there.

Nice to hear from you Darrell. Your mission statement is very similar to mine in a normal winter, because it gives me control of my situation. But this diesel shortage thing has me worried; maybe needlessly, but worried nonetheless. And one of the reasons it has me so worried is I have no control over it other than to stay in Denver with my family where I at least have access to a gas powered car so I can go to the store and buy groceries. Other than that I'm just depending on luck, not running around too much, and not getting too far from my family in Denver.

Your diesel stresses could be relieved with an electric truck. Of course, you would then stress about half the milage range with a load and worse, finding a place to charge it. Diesel stress don't seem as bad in comparison.

Your right Glen, everything is relative especially the things we worry about the most. I think if you live and work in a city electric vehicles make a lot of sense, and in Europe where you can drive across an entire country before lunch, that also makes sense. But for driving long distances without having to spend half the day at a charging station, I don't think I'm ready for that yet.... But it won't be the first time I've been left behind as life moves on without me.
