Clicking the pics is an inexpensive thing to do on Black Friday. My boondocking neighbor, everyone else has gone home.

When we down-sized we managed to only fill about half of a 5x5 storage unit. It only took 2 years to get rid of everything else that wouldn't fit in the Class A we had at that time. Of, cause that meant, when we moved back into an apartment, we had to buy a bunch of stuff. But, it sure was nice not to have all those "extras" all those years. And our IKEA furniture suits us just fine.

You obviously did a better job than I of "cleaning house." But at least I can say in my defense, there is not one stick of furniture in my storage room. Everything in it has either monetary value, or sentimental value, which is the reason I have trouble getting rid of any of it.

I think the only things we still have from what we stored is one bin of sentimental things and my 3-way touch lamps. The lamps do not have a switch, you just touch them to turn them on. I love not having to mess around trying to find the switch!

I guess I'm overly sentimental because I've got a lot more sentimental things than that. One of the things I have that I've mentioned before in my blog is a World War II olive drab footlocker, that my dad traveled with when he was in the Air Force and it has an old sticker on it with his name, rank, and serial number. And I had it shipped to Japan and back when I was in the Air Force so it's got my name, rank, and serial number on it also. The thing is kinda big and clunky, and takes up a lot of room so it has no value to anyone except me. The kids don't want it, so I doubt if the grandkids will either, so it just sits in the storage room. A historic item with deep sentimental value to me, but junk to anyone else.
