It was a beautiful day today Perfect for celebrating the end of the holiday weekend. I'm always happy when a holiday is over and things get back to normal.
I wasn't always that way, when I was younger I looked forward to holidays because it meant being out of school for a while or missing a couple of days of work, either of which was a cause for celebration. But now I don't go to school anymore, because I've learned everything there is that I need to know, and I don't work anymore because no one is foolish enough to hire me. So holidays just get in the way of my normal life which I don't need a holiday from.
The family planted some more flowers around the house this weekend, which explains the flower snapshots in this post. I like to look at flowers, and I like to take pictures of flowers but I have no desire whatsoever to plant any. I've spent enough time watching others do it to know that there's a lot of work involved not only with the planting but the endless maintenance that only ends when everything is covered with 3 feet of snow.
So I'll just enjoy looking at the flowers and taking a snapshot every now and then before I mosey back into the Arctic Fox, plop down in my easy chair and look out the window at others crawling around on their hands and knees digging holes in the dirt with tiny shovels.
