Clicking the pics won't bring the birds back, only the winter will do that.
Mom, dad, and their two little gooselings. Some kind of a duck.... They all look alike... Taking off

I'm not sure of anywhere you can go north without getting smoke in your eyes, except a bit either west or east of your straight to Denver line. Saw today there was a little fire in a bosque north of you. And I guess you can strike the word west from my first sentence, as apparently Jemez area has a fire. Sheesh. All just awful.

I drove through a lot of smoke heading north on I-25 before I got to Bosque Del Apache, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from. As the sun was going down this afternoon there was a lot of smoke that looked like clouds on the horizon south of me.

That's a good map Judith. I can see that the smoke I was driving through this morning on I-25 was from the San Mateo Mountains fire in the Cibola national forest which their calling the Bear Trap fire.

This site doesn't always have the latest, but it has good maps. and you can get rid of the green air sensor icons by deleting them from the layers choices. Then you're just left with fires. https://fire.airnow.gov/?lat=31.706014559600042&lng=-98.97294051175119&zoom=10
