Soon as I got out of bed this morning I started sneezing, not just a random sneeze, and not a sick kind of sneeze, no it was my old nemesis..... Allergies.
I don't know why it picked today, the winds aren't blowing and stirring things up, I don't see any plants growing that weren't here earlier in the week, and I haven't seen a flower since I got here, there's just no explaining it so I walked around with a pocket full of tissues all day.
I did get some shopping done, sneezing my way up and down the aisles of the Ace hardware store getting some bits and pieces for my motorcycle carry rack project. I also sneezed my way through a very large Safeway grocery store about 4 miles from me, and on the way back I sneezed my way around a very nice Fry's grocery store. And after all that I managed to buy everything I needed for my Christmas dinner.
So it looks like I'm going to have smoked salmon. Homemade baked beans, I know their homemade because it says so on the can. New England style crab salad, its well known the folks in New England are crab experts and if you want crabs you go to New England. A coconut cream pie that looks just like the coconut cream pie my mama used to buy, looking at the expiration date on it it could very well have been one that my mama used to buy. And the stores finest bottle of Samuel Adams beer, with any luck next year I'll be able to afford an entire six pack. I believe this will replicate the Christmas dinners I had when I was a child, hopefully without the emergency room visit the next morning.
The grocery stores I went in were packed with people, the lines were long, the parking lots were almost full, there was a lot of traffic on the road, the post office destroyed my Christmas present, and I got a notice from Denver for jury duty in January ... It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas.
I took all four tire pressure monitor sensors [ TPMS ] off the Arctic Fox tires and replaced. the batteries. It's a simple job, but the screws are tiny and easy to strip, and the little dime sized batteries are $4.50 apiece at Walmart.
This is the gadget that I'm putting on the motorcycle rack. it locks down the front wheel on the little Beta 250 and will replace two tie down straps.
