The crowds have gone, and everything is back to normal now. I was wondering why there were so many people here. I finally heard on the Internet that this weekend was "Cinco de Mayo," since there are a whole lot of Spanish folks in New Mexico, I guess they take their holiday very seriously and want to spend the weekend boondocking on the beach with their families.

On the other hand, it doesn't take as many people as it once did to make the park look crowded since there's a whole lot more water now and a whole lot less beach, so to find a spot on the beach, folks have to scrunch up tighter than they usually do.

I drove into T or C this morning and picked up my package with the propane burner in it. It took me about an hour to uninstall it and put in the new burner. A lot of that time was simply trying to remove and put in one screw that's extremely difficult to get to. Without that one screw, I probably could've done this whole job in 15 minutes. Now unfortunately, it takes a day or so for the refrigerator to normalize. So I won't know if my repair did anything until tomorrow.

 I'm hoping this will fix it, but if it doesn't, I do have a plan "B," which is I can get a new propane control valve on the refrigerator, and that's about as far as my ability to work on RV refrigerators goes.

When I returned from town this morning, I returned to the boondocking area I was at when I first got here. The place I've been for the last two nights is actually a favorite place of mine, but it's a lot easier to go walking on the beach from the boondocking spot I was at when I first came here a few days ago.

I noticed that the Memorial Day weekend starts on the 27th of this month. Since that's a big holiday and the beginning of the summer travel season, I always try to return to Denver before that date. And despite the cold, wet weather that I had to deal with for most of this winter, the time still seemed to fly by to the point I can hardly believe it's almost over. Of course, I'm looking forward to getting back with my family again because, like I've always said, "the only place I like better than where I'm at is where I'm going." I just wish these days didn't fly by so quickly.

yesterday I talked about this guy in the pedalboat almost getting run over by the tournament boats.  Eventually he slowly moseyed by pedaling for all he was worth. It looks like he had been fishing but seems rather cold and dejected in this picture.
