Today was supposed to be sunny and nice but it turned out to be cloudy windy and kind of chilly. And the weather forecast says is going to be raining on me for a while.

So because of the weather I didn't do a lot today. I wanted to go running around and see some things but I guess I'll have to put that off for a better day.

I did figure out that the Gulf of Mexico is on the wrong side of me to get a nice sunset picture. Which means I have to get up before dawn to get a nice sunrise picture, which is definitely something I don't like doing. I figure that the only sensible reason to get up before the sun does is to go fishing or hunting, nothing else makes any sense. But having said that, for some reason I accidentally woke up this morning at 6 o'clock and having nothing better to do I moseyed through the sand to the beach. It was a very pretty sunrise and there were other people there taking pictures of it so I wasn't the only one foolish enough to get up that early.

I would be happy to enjoy what you are calling chilly. It has gotten cold here in good ole Colorado. They are talking lows in the single digits early next week. I made my first camping reservation for 2017 and was happy that I got a good spot at Lake Isabel, then it hit me, it's 6 months away!!! I can't wait to get away to the south once I retire. Enjoy your time and count your blessings my friend.

Great to hear from you again Ed. I have the weather for my old hometown, Woodland Park Colorado, bookmarked on my computer, and every time I start whining about how it's going to get down to 65° wherever I'm at, I just open up the Woodland Park weather page look at the 13° and 2 feet of snow and count my blessings.

I remember when I was sitting at home thinking about the two years it was going to be before I could go full time, and the million and a half things I had to do before that could happen and it seemed almost impossible. But I found that if I focused on my goal, and took little baby steps every day to achieve it, everything got done and the time went by fairly quickly.

Nowadays almost everybody I'm around is a full-timer. There's nothing special about it here, the big question here is how LONG have you been full-timeing. So it's been done by a whole lot of people. So hang in there, keep developing your RV skills and knowledge, and one day soon you'll be sitting here 200 feet from the beach complaining about a 75° day because it's cloudy.

9 years of full timing and 20 years + of rving here. Not tired of it yet.

You have definitely been there and done that Barney. So you need to keep passing on information to us full timers who are so new that everyplace I stay is the very first time I've ever been there.
