Defcon one

Yellow Snapdragon.

Beautiful weather today, not too cold, not too hot, light breeze, and low humidity, couldn't ask for more.

Everyday I feel a little better so I put the new foam that I ordered from Amazon in the little Bronco and cut it to the size it needs to be. Through trial and error I've determined that the sofa is the most comfortable if I put my new foam on top of the old cushions which gives me about 5 inches of foam and prevents me from sinking down to the plywood like I was doing before, which had absolutely nothing to do with my weight.

But using the foam like that means that I will have to put a blanket or something over the new foam because foam is kind of clingy and nothing slides on it so getting into the sitting down position and getting up again is more difficult than it needs be. But I actually count the blanket as a good thing because it's easy to take the blanket off and wash it every now and then instead of taking the zip on covers off the foam pads, washing them and finding out they shrunk just enough so it's extremely difficult to get the foam back in again, don't ask me how I know.

Like I said I'm feeling better now and its kind of weird because I feel good enough to want to go to the mountains, but not good enough to actually do it.

It's too bad this is a holiday weekend if it wasn't I think I might actually get out and do something, but since it is I will initiate DEFCON 1 and shelter in place until the holiday hordes have gathered up their loud music boxes, their screaming kids, their barking dogs,  their contractor generators, and return from whence they came.

This is a wool blanket I plan on using when it's chilly in the mountains. I have a cotton Mexican blanket I'll use when it's hot.
