A chilly day in Deming New Mexico and it looks like there's going to be some chilly, rainy days ahead. It seems like it's been colder than it normally is this time of year, I'm pretty far south and the highs around here are in the 50s, I sure will be glad when global warming gets here. I got pictures from my daughter in Denver this morning and they have over a foot of snow, so I guess I should count my blessings.

I went to Walmart this morning to buy my Thanksgiving dinner and the store was pretty crowded, it looks like I'm not the only one that puts off shopping till the last minute. I bought some smoked salmon for Thanksgiving dinner which I like a whole lot better than turkey, in fact in the whole bird family turkey is my least favorite, I had just as soon eat a seagull as a turkey.

When I got here I was planning on leaving this weekend after Thanksgiving, but then I got to thinking that a lot of people will be on the roads going home from grandma's house after Thanksgiving so Saturday and Sunday might be a good time for me to stay off the highway, so I'll probably re-up for a day or two and leave Deming on Monday.

Some Escapees parks have a seven-day limit on their boondocking spots, but this one is a 14 day limit so re-upping isn't a problem. Despite the seven-day limit at some Escapees parks, on occasions I've stayed longer than that with no problem, apparently they feel sorry for me. I do look kind of pitiful, somewhere between a homeless bum and someone in the witness protection program.
